Whimsy or WTF?

Not a day goes by, where something isn't moved from one place to another here at Monkey Grass Hill.
It really is never the same place twice.

All of the pieces in this photo have shown up in posts over the past two years, but never together.

The cabinet was originally purchased at Goodwill for my powder room redo.
When I realized it wasn't going to work I didn't know what do with it.
It spent some time in the living room in it's original brown open door state.
I can't find any before photos though. One day I painted it and lined the doors with tracing paper. (Eventually I'll put mirror on the doors.)

While working on the living room it got bumped into the dining room where I think it makes sense and it doesn't take up much room.

Then I decided to pull my zebra prints together.

I got the mask at the flea market for Drew's bedroom when he was 2 years old and in his animal loving phase. Once his passion changed to super heros the mask had to go.

I've been trying to find a place for it ever since, but it just seemed kind of silly. I had it loaded up for a Goodwill donation and at the last minute pulled it out.
You've seen this bench that I recovered a while back in a few different places.  I pulled it up to the head of the table because Drew likes to sit in the dining room and the bench is easier for him to jump on and off. I think it adds a little interest and whimsy.

You've also see that pear painting in the butler's pantry.

and living room. Oh, and there are those same lamps with different shades

What do you think of zebra masks and benches--Whimsical or weird?
Or more importantly, what do you think about furniture moving as a hobby? :)

You would be most comfortable in my home. We move rooms around at will. You never know when one of us will wake up and decide to change it up a bit. I love the zebra mask. I am all for repurposing.

If I moved "stuff" all the time, I would have to dust it....and we know that's not going to happen.

Ha ha, Julie. I think it all looks fab, but you know I love your style! Your Goodwill cabinet is great - and the mirror will really take it to the next level. Carry on with it, friend!
