living room latest

I still haven't finished my curtains but I continue swapping tables and lamps around in the living room.
Here's the latest (as of yesterday morning).

I recently found this pair of lamps at Goodwill. They were marked $15 each, but the checkout person noticed the lampshades were in bad shape. So she gave me the pair for $12.
Check out that base!

What do you think?
You can be honest :)

I think you need to set up a little shop or some sort of design business. Those lamps are stunning. What about some black shades with metallic inside?

Looks terrific. I love PVE's suggestion for black shades. Little Green Notebook just did a tutorial on painting shades too. Those bases are great too!

I think you scored! Love me some good Gdub finds.
I like that flamingo print I see in the background too :)

Patricia and Michele - thanks for the suggestion. Being a lamp hoarder it just so happens I have some black shades I can try out.

Jeanette - we have a new Gdub that I've been finding all these great thing in. there are several others in the area that I never have luck with. The flamingo was an estate find (it makes me smile).

I love it! My Goodwill never gets that kind of stuff. I agree that the shades need something.

i third the idea of painting the shades. i saw what jenny did with hers and loved it. i think the lamp bases are amazing and you have an excellent eye for details. xo

I think you made out like a bandit! They are fab. I second or third or whatever the black shades. It is now my turn to be jealous. Hugs! Bonnie
