At it Again

I've been playing musical furniture and rugs again.

I haven't shown you much in the dining room, because it's an interior  room that is very hard to photograph. And, it's painted green, which is all wrong.

It's a pass through room and the big formal dining table and chairs

I've had in here made it a tight squeeze.
So, I brought the round table from the sunroom into the dining room and moved the big double pedestal table out to the sunroom (I'll show you that in a different post).

This sideboard was a curbside pickup project. I used Chalk paint a lot of wood filler and some new hardware to bring it back to life. All things I had on hand.

I just need to take down the chair molding, paint the walls and work
on the artwork and I think it'll be great.
I think it feels roomier, more balanced and cozier all at the same time.

What a lovely room - I started to say transformation, but then I don't know hwere it started. I love the green and white (I know you are changing it, so I think it looks cool and refreshing.) The mirror is wonderful. Keep up the good work!

Hi Julie - Your house is beautiful! Lots of light, and love the French doors. You did a great job photographing it. I can see how it would be difficult to photograph with all the doorways, and bright light from sunroom.

What kind of chalk paint did you use? Was it Annie Sloan? I've been curious about that line. Read about it in the Wash Post recently. Thanks for sharing your photos!

Hello Julie, I think your dining room is looking fabulous. We played the musical furniture game today as well. One more week of school then I am planning on starting on some projects. You are my inspiration. Bonnie

I love a round table in a dining room. Not every room can pull it off. Yours does!

That room is so pretty - and light - for an interior room. I thought those doors were to the outside it's so light, like a Browns Conservatory in London where we used to go for tea. Love that unusual mirror and that warming rug.
