It Must Be a Sign

You might have noticed I wasn't blogging much over the summer. I've been busy you know :)

It's been even longer since I created any new jewelry designs.

I've made a few sales here and there.
I even made a barter (right off my own neck) with this double strand of baroque pearls at my son's baseball game. (Hi Nan)

Quite a while ago I opened a jewelry shop on Etsy.
I posted a few pieces and have not really done anything else.
Let's face it, there is a glut of jewelry on Etsy.
It's easy to get lost in the piles and piles of bling.

This morning someone bought this beauty.

Making this little sale has inspired me to get back to work.
I'm off to the post office right now, but then it's up to my studio... Yeah!

Oh congratulations! I have two shops on Etsy, jewelry and everything else vintage and I have found, to get the sales is a serious full time job. It takes so much work to keep my shops fresh and do the marketing that I hardly have time to make the jewelry anymore so I sell mostly vintage. I miss making it as well and I'm on the fence about giving up blogging so I can make some jewelry. Can't wait to see what beauties you come up with in your studio :)

Those baroque pearls are incredible! They look slightly like Paua shell (abalone) which is one of my favourites as it reminds me so much of home. Your pieces are always stunning. Congrats on the new store on Etsy

Julie,
I cannot decide which design I like best! After all you have a way of crafting and creating such beautiful things, not to mention that young man of yours.
There is a time, a season and a place for everything.
Glad to see you are back, but that pool looks mighty nice. Our pool club was closed for the last week, Irene knocked down trees, there was no power. This is History, we have always been there on Labor day. Not this year.

I'm very glad to know you are back to the studio as I want to buy one of your necklaces this fall!
You are very talented and I can't wait to see what you create.
