Fickeled Pink

Can you believe I've changed my mind?!

You might have already noticed that when it comes to decorating I can be a little fickle. Well now this little character flaw has sent me to the pink side in full force.
And I'm okay with it -- for now :)

I just can't get enough of raspberry pink lately and I think it all started with this fabric I found on the remnant table!

Remember the green fabric I had nailed up as potential drapery fabric? I "lived" with it for a couple weeks. At different times of the day it looked good to me. But at others it felt off. I also kind of felt that I needed to make my bright and cheery room feel a little warmer as we head into the cold winter months.

So, I ordered 20 yards of the $6.50 per yard "raspberry blazer" fabric from my favorite online fabric source.  It has a nice weight, and soft linen look. Can't beat the price, especially if I'm going to be changing it in a few months (let's hope I don't).

I had already used this fabric on the back side of my floral pillows, and yesterday I got to work reinventing the wheel process of making a valance.

It's been raining for weeks here, so I can't get a decently lit picture. Sorry it's so dark, hopefully when Better Homes and Gardens comes to do a layout the professional photographers will really be able to take some nice shots I can use on my blog :)

It's not quite right yet, but I feel like I'm headed in the right direction.

In other pink exploits I've also been working on some jewelry for the fickle and fun girl (like myself)

(triple strand of pink jade with vintage deco style earring)

(same necklace w/o the vintage piece)

(same necklace with the clasp showing)

We fickle pink lovers like to have options!

And the way these pink nuggets dance around your neck is just plain fun.

So, which color curtain do you like better? Pink or Green?
